Industry Pathway
HEFA
Conversion of qualifying lipid feedstocks into aviation-fuel components through hydroprocessing and upgrading.
INDUSAF status: not assignedTechnology
INDUSAF is developing a technology framework that connects feedstock selection, conversion pathways, fuel quality, scalable production and evidence-led sustainability.

Technology approach
Advanced aviation fuel technology cannot be evaluated through conversion chemistry alone. Feedstock characteristics, process selection, fuel quality, production scale and supply-chain controls all influence technical and commercial performance.
INDUSAF's approach is intended to consider carbon intensity and traceability alongside aviation-fuel requirements. Detailed technical claims will be published only when supported by approved documentation.

Production pathways
These modules describe recognised industry pathway categories. They do not state that INDUSAF has selected, licensed or currently operates any pathway.

INDUSAF status: not assignedIndustry Pathway
Conversion of eligible alcohol intermediates into aviation-fuel components through an approved process route.
INDUSAF status: not assignedIndustry Pathway
Processing qualifying renewable inputs alongside conventional refinery streams within applicable limits.
INDUSAF status: not assignedIndustry Pathway
Production routes using suitable hydrogen and carbon inputs to create synthetic aviation-fuel components.
INDUSAF status: not assignedProcess architecture
A production architecture may connect the following stages. The sequence is illustrative and varies by feedstock, selected industry pathway and facility design.
Illustrative educational schematic. This is not a proprietary INDUSAF process diagram or operating-facility representation.
Quality by design
Quality is created through controlled processes rather than inspected into a product at the end. Repeatable operating conditions, defined testing and batch-level controls support consistent outcomes.
Documentation and safety procedures connect process decisions with material identity, test results, handling requirements and each subsequent handover.

R&D and collaboration
The future collaboration architecture is intended to support disciplined research, validation, engineering and scale-up. No institutional or commercial partnership is claimed here.
