Sustainability
Sustainability That Can Be Measured.
Credible aviation-fuel sustainability depends on defined lifecycle boundaries, traceable inputs, consistent data and recognised verification frameworks.

Lifecycle thinking
Measure the Whole Fuel Journey.
Aviation-fuel impact should be assessed across the activities that create, move and use the fuel. The relevant boundary and calculation method must be stated clearly.

- 02Production
- 03Transport
- 04Conversion
- 05Distribution
- 06Use
Illustrative lifecycle stages. Actual assessment boundaries depend on the applicable methodology and verified project data.
Feedstock sustainability
Inputs Need Evidence
Feedstock sustainability begins with knowing what the material is, where it originated and how it moved through the supply chain.
Evaluation may include traceability, land-use considerations, provenance, the treatment of waste and residue sources, and conformity with applicable sustainability rules. Eligibility cannot be assumed from a feedstock name alone.
- Traceability
- Records connecting material to its origin and movement
- Land use
- Direct and indirect considerations where applicable
- Provenance
- Documented source, category and supplier information
- Waste & residues
- Evidence supporting classification and eligibility
- Applicable rules
- Requirements of the relevant market and framework

Carbon intensity
A Result, Not a Slogan.
Carbon intensity expresses greenhouse-gas emissions relative to a defined unit of energy or fuel output across an identified lifecycle boundary.
The result depends on feedstock, energy inputs, conversion efficiency, transport, co-product treatment and the selected assessment methodology.
No INDUSAF carbon-intensity value is published without verified lifecycle-assessment data.Traceability
Evidence Across Every Handover.
- 01
Chain of Custody
Defined controls for transferring sustainability information through the supply chain.
- 02
Batch Data
Material identity, quantities, test records and relevant processing information.
- 03
Supplier Documentation
Evidence supporting origin, classification and applicable declarations.
- 04
Mass Balance
Accounting controls where an applicable framework permits certified and other material to be mixed.

Certification
Independent Frameworks Matter
Recognised certification systems can provide rules for feedstock eligibility, greenhouse-gas calculation, chain of custody, auditing and claims.
The appropriate system depends on the market, supply chain and regulatory context. INDUSAF does not present any sustainability certification as achieved unless it is documented and approved for publication.
Compliance & QualityContinuous improvement
A Framework That Can Evolve.
Future performance should be managed through defined baselines, operational data, review cycles and verified reporting rather than unsupported environmental claims.
- Energy use
- Water
- Feedstock efficiency
- Process improvement
- Verified reporting
